A small project, built in the open, by people who wanted a whiteboard-video engine that could be read and kept rather than rented.

Currently exploring good use of this platform in the space — where a model that can write and direct a lesson is genuinely useful, and where it is only a novelty. Most of what is in here came from pushing it at real problems: worked solutions that have to stay on the board, formulas that have to stack in the order somebody reads them, and a hand that has to draw at the speed of the sentence being spoken.
Why this exists
Explaining something well is mostly a question of pacing. A hand drawing an idea while somebody talks is easier to follow than a slide of it, which is why whiteboard videos work at all. The tools that make them are good, and they are also subscriptions that meter your output and hand back a file you cannot reopen.
So the shape of this one is deliberate: the video is a JSON timeline you own, the renderer is deterministic, and the whole thing runs on your own machine if you want it to. Everything else — the accounts, the credits, the hosted instance — is scaffolding around that, and none of it is required.
Contributing
The code is MIT and the interesting problems are open: better figure drawing, more languages, richer camera work, an asset library worth the name. If you teach something and the boards come out wrong, that is the most useful bug report there is — it is how most of the layout engine got written.
